What I like most about my job at Ross’ Granville Market:

I am proud of the that the Granville Market is still open for business when most of the other Licking County small independent grocery stores are no longer in business. I’m proud that we are a family-owned business that has been here since 1978. It takes a lot of hard work by our family and all our employees to keep the doors open but mainly it takes great loyal customers like we have here in Granville. I enjoy interacting customers.

Helpful hints that customers can use about the products in your department.

We offer a lot of services that fly under the radar of most people. We take back our clean plastic grocery bags for recycling with bin located in between the outside doors. We will bag and assist you to your car with our grocery carry out service and our parking lot is close to the front door. We sell postage stamps and have a United States Postal Service mailbox outside by the creek. We have a drop box for the Granville Public Library located beside Postal Service Mailbox. We rent Rug Doctor carpet cleaning machines as well. We also sell the cleaning supplies for them. I think that the Granville Market is easy to get to just off of a four lane highway Route 16/161 at 484 South Main Street in Granville.

“Shopping local” is very important to our local community. Not only does shopping at Granville Market help support the families of those who own and work at the store, but it extends further than that. We sell countless items that are grown and/or produced in Licking and surrounding counties. Buying local helps the families who work to produce those goods, people who deliver products to our store, people who print our ads, clear the snow from our parking lot, maintain and repair the building. The list goes on and on. SHOP LOCAL!!!

What I like most about my job at Ross’ Granville Market:

I love coming to work every day and working with my co-workers and seeing our loyal customers.

Helpful hints that customers can use about the products in your department.

The customer should know the difference between the “use by” date and the “best by” date. The “use by” date is an expiration date and is when the product should be discarded. The “best by” date is the suggested use by date. A good example are eggs. Eggs, more often than not, are good up to 2 weeks after the “best by” date provided if they have been stored properly.

If I had to eat one thing each day for a year at Granville Market, what would it be?
