Old Forester Bourbon Whisky, Kentucky Straight 1.75 l

This whisky is distilled by us only, and we are responsible for its richness and fine quality. Its elegant flavor is solely due to original fineness developed with care. There is nothing better in the market. - George Gavin Brown. The bourbon lover's bourbon. The signature taste of a classic bourbon. Seven decades into the 19th century, bourbon was still sold by the barrel. With no quality standards governing them, druggists, retailers and rectifiers were free to dilute, alter or otherwise tamper with the bourbon. In other words, let the buyer beware. Back then it was an accepted practice. But not to George Gavin Brown. In 1870, this young Louisville pharmaceutical salesman wanted to make certain that the integrity and premium quality of the bourbon he created would not be compromised once it left the barrel. So he began selling his bourbon in sealed glass bottles, establishing old Forester as America's first bottled bourbon. He even included his personal signature and handwritten pledge of quality on every bottle. Revolutionary to be sure, but to Brown, there could be no other way. Each batch of his 100-proof Old Forester bourbon was crafted from barrels that spanned several seasons and years. He knew that selecting barrels by taste rather than an arbitrary age profile would produce the taste his customers demanded. To honor the legacy of our founder, we've given the 100-proof expression of Old Forester a whole new look - one that truly reflects its distinctively full, rich flavor. We've also given it a new name: Old Forester Signature. This uniquely satisfying spirit is crafted using the same time-honored methods established by George Garvin Brown over 130 years ago. The result: a bourbon as good as his word - and as authentic as his signature. Award Winning Taste: Best in Class: 2006 International Wine & Spirits Competition.
